It is considered one of the safest cities in California and one of the largest planned communities here in the OC. Unique to Mission Viejo is a man-made lake. The lake is stocked several times a year and offers boats for a nominal fee for fishing. You can fish from the designated land areas. I hosted my daughter's birthday here several times, one we even had a 'fishing party.' It was a hit!!
Looking for just a cruise around the lake? Try a renting a pontoon boat for your party... bring your lunch!
There are also kayaks, SUP, and peddle boats that can be rented for a nominal fee.

Keep in mind, while most properties have lake access through their HOA, there is an area in Mission Viejo that was not in the original plan for the lake. Therefore, it does not have lake rights but is grandfathered into the city of Mission Viejo.
